During our company growth we have developed strategic working relationships with several large Aluminium extrusion mills in Asia. This has allowed us to offer very cost effective options on high use sections which are not as time critical or are unable to be produced locally. We are regularly in contact with our international suppliers to keep a continual stream of product filled container arriving at our NZ branches. Talk to us about what is involved.

International mills usually work on larger minimum quantities ( 250 kg ) If you divide 250 by the mass shown for a section number you will obtain the approximate number of metres required for a minimum mill run.
For example for section 9433, a rectangular hollow 50 x 25mm with a 3mm wall thickness:

Minimum mill run = 250 (kg) = 223.61 metres
  1.118 (kg/m)

Indent Mill runs require a leadtime of 8 to 12 weeks for mill finish from existing dies, and are subject to a shipping tolerance of +/- 10% approximately.

If you want a special shape, ask us!

Sometime we can find an existing section overseas, mill quantities would apply. New shapes are continually added to the range or we may know of a suitable alternative.

We can source larger sections than are available in New Zealand. Talk to us about what’s involved.
